The Brookline Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is part of the National MRC program that was founded by the federal government shortly after 9/11. Brookline MRC members are trained and prepared to respond to emergencies and provide education, outreach and various health services throughout the year. MRC members serve as a team during times of emergency or need in the Brookline community.
The Brookline MRC is comprised of volunteers who are interested in working with the Town of Brookline Department of Public Health during emergencies and/or throughout the year on local public health needs. MRC members may volunteer as much or as little time as they would like. Educational trainings are conducted during the year for MRC volunteers and all MRC members are encouraged to attend. Most training will offer Continuing Education Units (CEUíS) for participants.
